Myna is a Chrome extension for saving language moments from video subtitles. It lets you select subtitle words or phrases, translate them, save context, and optionally sync entries to your own Notion workspace.
Data Myna Handles
Myna may process:
- Selected subtitle text or selected webpage text.
- Translation results, dictionary definitions, phonetics, and audio URLs returned by lookup services.
- Video page metadata such as page URL, page title, platform name, and timestamp.
- Screenshots captured only when you click the screenshot action.
- Saved vocabulary entries stored in Chrome extension local storage.
- Notion Integration Token, parent page ID, and database ID, if you configure Notion sync.
How Data Is Used
Myna uses this data only to provide its core features:
- Looking up translations and dictionary information.
- Saving vocabulary entries for review.
- Capturing screenshots that you explicitly request.
- Syncing saved entries to the Notion database you configure.
- Exporting your saved entries as Markdown or CSV.
Third-Party Services
Myna sends selected text to:
- Google Translate public endpoint, for translation and text-to-speech fallback.
